Our Story

It all started when my mum taught me how to use a needle. I started creating stuffies and doll accessories with the scraps left over from my mum's sewing projects. I caught the crafty bug and got a sewing machine as a present. I was too young to sew in straight lines though! Fast forward to my twenties when I was searching high and low for my purpose in life and what form my life was to take. After ten years of trying different things, including watching lots of YouTube sewing tutorials and apprenticing with professional seamstresses specialized in formalwear, I met my husband. We fell in love and I moved to Renfrew, Ontario to be with him. I started Queen Pin Sewing and then Queen Pin Bridal because I thought it would be the best thing to do for my new life with my new family.

Queen Pin speaks to me of feminine empowerment, leadership, success and community. I am doing this for my life and for the people around me. I hope to be a positive influence in the lives of those who work for me and for my customers. I am honoured to be part of incredibly special events in the lives of those who come to our stores, and hope to be able to do good for them.
